First of all, we need to understand what is the demoulding slope of aluminum alloy casting mold (that is, the draft slope), which is the slope designed on both sides of the mold chamber to facilitate molding. The orientation of the demoulding slope should be determined according to the inner and outer dimensions of the aluminum alloy casting.

The size of the demoulding slope of aluminum alloy castings is related to the properties, shrinkage, friction factor, wall thickness and geometry of aluminum castings. Aluminum alloy casting with more complex shape or more forming holes takes a larger demoulding slope; If the height of the aluminum alloy casting is larger and the hole is deeper, the demoulding slope is smaller; The wall thickness increases, the force of the inner hole to wrap the core is large, and the demoulding slope should also be larger. Sometimes, in order to keep the aluminum alloy casting in the die or on the core when the mold is opened, the slope of the edge is deliberately reduced or enlarged.
Aluminum alloy casting mold
There is no certain criterion for the size of the demoulding angle, most of them are determined by experience and according to the depth of the product:
1. Take the direction of the slope, the general inner hole is subject to the small end, in line with the pattern, the slope is obtained by the expansion direction, the shape is subject to the large end, in line with the drawing, and the slope is obtained from the reduction direction.
2. Where the accuracy of aluminum alloy castings is high, a small demoulding slope should be selected.
3. Where there is a higher and larger size of aluminum alloy castings, a smaller demoulding slope should be selected.
4. If the shrinkage rate of aluminum alloy castings is large, a larger slope value should be selected.
5. When the wall thickness of aluminum alloy castings is thick, the forming shrinkage will increase, and the demoulding slope should be a larger value.
6. In general, the demoulding slope is not included in the tolerance range of aluminum alloy castings.
7. The demoulding slope of the appearance part should be increased to avoid scratches. The side wall of aluminum alloy castings that need to be polished, sandblasted and other appearance treatment should be demolded with a demoulding slope of 3°~5°.
8. The slope of the penetrating surface is generally 1°~3°.
9. The demoulding slope of the shell surface is greater than or equal to 3°.
10. In addition to the shell surface, the demoulding slope of the other features of the shell is based on 1° as the standard demoulding slope. In particular, it can also be taken according to the following principles: the demoulding slope of the reinforcing rib lower than 3mm high is 0.5°, 3~5mm is 1°, and the rest is 1.5°; The demoulding slope of the cavity below 3mm height is 0.5°, 3~5mm is 1°, and the rest is 1.5°.
I hope it will be helpful to the friends of the casting circle.
